I took a scunner against theatre, and when I came back to England I said to my agent: Can't you find me a nice film or a nice bit of television or something like that?

I get a yearning to actually speak that wonderful language.

So it was all a wonderful experience and I must tell you that once you’ve played the real big Shakespearean roles, nothing ever, ever can frighten you again.
